Is there a cost to the coach or athlete?
TriathlonTraining.net is completely free for coaches and athletes to use. Athletes never pay anything to use our triathlon coach-finding services.
What about coaches?
If we connect you as a coach to an athlete, you simply pay us a commission or "finder's fee" for the athlete or athletes we connected you with. For one time coaching services, our commission is 10%. For recurring coaching services, our commission is 5%. When you sign up for your free account with TriathlonTraining.net, we collect your payment information, but never bill or charge you anything unless you're actually hired by an athlete.
All communication between you and an athlete occurs through our internal messaging system. When athlete makes a decision to hire you, we do not collect money from the athlete. Instead, they hire and work with you through whichever coaching and billing system you desire to use (TrainingPeaks, e-mails, phone calls, etc.).
Here's how it works:
1. You correspond with the potential athlete throught TriathlonTraining.net.
2. Hopefully they pick you for coaching.
3. You begin coaching.
4. We have access to the internal messaging system, and can also send you and the athlete emails during this process asking whether you were chosen for the job.
5. If you were chosen as the athlete's coach, we bill you for the commission amount.
In other words, all the hassle of marketing your services and finding athletes to coach is taken care of by us. You simply do what you're good at: coaching!
